Youth Theatre programme for teenagers in Mauritius
In Mauritius, everyday they have requests for information about our youth classes. Sharing this information will help many understand what the class is about.
Our 'Youth Theatre' is open to secondary school students and our aim is to encourage our students to become more confident, articulate communicators.
We do this through a comprehensive theatre arts course, developing our students for theatre, radio and film. The programme covers a variety of theatrical skills, including voice production, advanced improvisation, script work, character analysis and production techniques.
Whilst many of our students wish to pursue acting as a career, some attend to improve their confidence and speaking abilities. All our teachers encourage a warm, friendly atmosphere in these classes, with a strong emphasis on mutual respect.
In the final term, all classes begin work on a scripted production which is put on for parents and friends at the end of the year.
