Cape Town student, Huw Irlam, achieves 10-year Award.

A huge congratulations go to Huw Irlam of our Cape Town Academy who has achieved his 400 lessons award which is 10 years in the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy. The Academy has a tradition of making 'Oscar' speeches when they receive an award and here is our star, Huw's, speech:
"First of all I would like to thank my parents. When I was just a small 5-year-old, they decided to enroll me in the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy. Little did I know that I was to become a great actor! Through the years, I have met so many people with much potential. I have been taught by 9 different teachers and I would just like to thank them all for their wonderful work. I have attended three different studios and have enjoyed every second of it. Thank you to Duncan, Gavin and Sunette for running this awesome organization and I look forward to the years to come so you better start developing the Fifth Oscar!"
Well done to Huw! The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's international drama programme for children and adults really does develop fantastic communicaton and performance skills. The students just love the programme and keep coming back.
The longer people stay in the Academy, the more they will develop in overall confidence in communication and public speaking skills.
