Production rehearsals underway in Accra
Ghana's productions are always amazing thanks to the excellent teaching and the amazing curriculum of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy.
Principal of the Accra Helen O'Grady Drama Academy Kwaku Boateng said: 'Acting classes for children provide a safe, nurturing environment that allows children to experiment and branch out with their performing and speaking abilities without the fear of failure or ridicule.
Creativity and individuality are encouraged, and exercises in which imagination reigns and “wrong” choices are impossible can help create a setting that encourages shy children to become more confident particularly in oral work in schools."
One of the important aspects of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is giving children opportunities to grow in confidence through public performance. The Accra productions are always wonderful and thanks to the incredible input of the principal who is an actor himself, children are given very professional tuition in this area.
