Hishaam Ryklief, from the Cape Town Academy, takes the lead role in a new film, 'The Flea'

The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Cape Town is extremely proud of the achievements of Hishaam Ryklief who takes the lead in a new film 'The Flea'. The Academy has been, for many years now, developing young people for film, television and theatre in Cape Town. Hishaam began his career acting with the Academy at his first school, Portia Primary, and then with the Academy famous youth theatre in Newlands. Many of the children from this studio regularly appear on stage and screen and we are proud of their development over the years.
The Academy's international drama programme is about developing confident young people, not only for the performance arts industry by also for life in general. Classes are fun and focus on positive development.
Hishaam has acted with Sir Ian McKellen at the Fugard Theatre, and many other films, as have his peers who work with him at the Saturday afternoon drama classes.
